What Bird is That?

4 October 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Bunbury offers some amazing locations and environments for us to explore including areas within Kalgulup Regional Park and the new Mangrove Cove All Accessible Playground. This spring school holidays we are once again offering an activity at the Mangrove Cove location.

What Bird is That? @ Mangrove Cove – Wednesday 4th October, 10 am to 11.30 am at $5 per family and is 90 mins duration.

Join the Nearer to Nature South West team and volunteers from Birdlife Bunbury as we take a gentle walk along the edge of the Leschenault Inlet and the mangrove boardwalk to spot the variety of bird species present. Tune in your hearing to different bird calls and use binoculars to help identify the different bird species that call the Inlet and the surrounding vegetation their home. If we are lucky, we may spot the resident ospreys nesting or plunging into the water in search of their breakfast.

Please note this experience is for the whole family and children must be under the responsibility of their adults at all times. Proceeds from ticket sales to go to Birdlife Australia to benefit bird conservation programs. Book online.
